My husband has been a patient for many years at West Roxbury Dental Arts, and he remained when Dr. Srismitha Modem took over the practice. Steve feels comfortable and Safe with all the dentist and Staff, who are efficient, kind and very accommodating. Another plus is the location, is a 10–15-minute drive from our home.

The staff is always kind and welcoming. Time is always taken to make sure I understand what is being done in my appointment. It has been a good experience for me here!
They’re are not transparent at all when it comes to charges .. they charge you AFTER being seen and say it’s your responsibility to see what your insurance covers. I feel like you should let someone know about charges before service because what if I couldn’t afford it. Went there once, never going back - I have a feeling they are money hungry. They charge for every little thing (cancellation, bogus co pays, etc every singles thing) the parking sucks . When I called to cancel my appointment- I was told I would be charged $50, they made me pay $150 co past my first appointment(after my appointment) for future appointment which seem weird to me - I requested a refund since I decided never to go back , the receptionist said she would have to dispute with the dentist and get back to me, that was almost 2 weeks ago - never heard from anyone . I will be calling everyday until I get my refund and yes I regret ever going there.Oh and they delete bad reviews all concerning charges. How honest is that?

Shirley is a bad hygienist. She keeps boasting that she had 30 years of experience and talks bad about other dental offices. Unprofessional. She is constantly moving around, is jittery and cannot control herself. Her hands are shaky and she cannot concentrate on one thing. She constantly slams things, drops things, bumps into things. How can you have someone like this work on people’s teeth? It appears as if she drank 10 cups of coffee before going to work. I was genuinely scared that I would lose my teeth to her that day. Dr. Modem is very good and careful. I told her my concerns and she took time out of her schedule to squeeze me in. I told her all my concerns and she tried her best to accommodate me. And she is very nice. That’s why I give 5 stars.
I’ve had a great experience having not been to the dentist is a while. Polite people and professional. I just they were more available with days. Great place to come!
I was a bit nervous transferring dentists after moving to a new state, but everyone was so kind and accommodating, I immediately felt at ease. Dr. Modem and the rest of the dental was incredibly patient in answering all of my questions and made time to make small talk and constantly check in about my pain levels during procedures. The front desk staff is incredibly responsive over text and patiently guided me through transferring over my insurance. I’m so glad to have found them and cannot recommend them highly enough!

West Roxbury Dental Arts is the place to go. Customer service is amazing. Dr. Srismitha Modem is great at what she does. My daughter goes to Dental Arts and she is 7 years old and she loves it here, so that says a lot.

I am in the beginning stages of Invisalign and Dr. Modem has been super kind and informative throughout the whole process this far. This dentist took me as a new patient very quickly after having an emergency dental issue. She fixed my problem and now has a lifelong, loyal patient. I appreciate all the staff from the front desk, to the dental assistant, hygienists, Dr. Modem (my dentist) and all other dentists! You guys are awesome and make me feel comfortable. Editing my review after finding out that my dental insurance did cover a nightguard but, was told it didn't and was forced to pay out of pocket $500.00 in February 2020.BEWARE: Don't trust anything they say, always check your own insurance 1st!!!SHAME ON YOU!!!

Dr. Modem and her team are excellent. I recently had to leave my dentist of many years because he stopped taking my insurance. I went to Dr. Modem because of good reviews and because she takes my insurance. I was very happy with my previous dentist and his staff and was concerned that Dr. Modem and her staff might not be as good. They turned out to be at least as good. My son and I have had an initial check-up (including some X-rays) and cleaning and I had a cavity filled. I could not be more impressed with how the transition from my former dentist was handled. All coverage and insurance issues were fully explained. They made sure to check what x-rays we did and did not need so there were no unnecessary charges there. The hygeniests were both excellent. Dr. Modem and her assistants did an excellent job on my filling. She fully explains everything including insurance issues so there are no surprises there. She told me my options competently and honestly, she did NOT try to oversell me on things I didn't need as I have experienced with other dentists. I highly recommend Dr. Modem and her practice.

So it had been two years since my last dentist appointment back in DR. So I thought I’d be in deep trouble with my teeth. Thankfully no one guilt tripped me on the hand they told me I was not too bad for having two years without visiting. Definitely recommend this home like place. Nice, clean office, tremendous staff, and very experienced dentists. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming as soon as you walk in the door. The dentists do an amazing job. They work great with their patients, answer any questions you may have, and most importantly, they let you leave with a much better smile than what you walked in with! I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
