What are the Benefits of Healthy Gums?

Gum disease is a common condition that affects the tissues that surround and support the teeth. The two most common types of gum disease are gingivitis and periodontitis. Gingivitis is a mild form of gum disease which can be reversed with good oral hygiene, while periodontitis is a more serious form of gum disease which can lead to tooth loss if left untreated.

Gum Disease Prevention: The best way to prevent gum disease is to brush your teeth at least twice a day, floss once a day, and visit your dentist every six months for regular checkups.

Prevention Tips: Brush your teeth after every meal or snack, use dental floss daily, avoid tobacco products and excessive alcohol consumption, visit your dentist for regular checkups.
